Job Description:
As a Receptionist at Finley’s Barber Shop, you will be required, but not limited to:
- Attire: Follow Finley’s dress code. As a lead receptionist, you should exceed the standard dress code requirements. You should maintain a professional, fashion forward appearance that represents the barber industry
- Greet all clientele with friendliness and upbeat professionalism
- Check clients in for their appointments, offering them a complimentary beverage
- Handle various payment types during check-out process
- Answer and assist all phone calls
- Create, alter, cancel appointments
- Assist the floor staff. This includes but is not limited to, sweeping, dusting, laundry, light cleaning duties, etc.
- Work well with fellow employees and keep a positive work environment
- Have a professional level of engagement with the team and clients
- Have a good understanding of the booking system software. Training for the booking system software will be provided. Prior knowledge is preferred but not required
- Above & beyond customer service
- Assist with shop duties (laundry, sweeping, maintaining cleanliness of the shop, keep shop organized and presentable for clients, dusting)
Job Requirements:
- At least one year of clerical experience (Receptionist, assistant, office work, etc.) required. Experience in Salon/Barber Shop setting highly recommended.
- Excellent, above and beyond customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of retail products sold at Finley’s Barber Shop (basic training knowledge provided)
- Computer skills and knowledge, proper phone etiquette
- Punctual, on time, and highly motivated
- Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to multitask
- Ability to dress professionally, follow dress code, and keep a consistently polished appearance
