Front Desk Concierge

FRONT DESK CONCIERGE

The purpose of the FRONT DESK receptionist position is to cheerfully greet members and guests as they enter the Club and route them to their destination. The receptionist is also responsible for cheerful phone greetings and polite redirection of calls, for payment on account, court reservations and for collection of all appropriate fees.

SCHEDULE - Full-time shift and part-time shift (20-24 hours/week) available, weekend availability a must.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Upon hire, the Front Desk Concierge must:

1. Have excellent customer service skills

2. Have basic math skills

4. Be able to work under pressure

5. Be able to handle multiple duties

6. Have good verbal skills

7. Be enthusiastic

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Greet members and guests as they enter or exit the club

a. Check in members

b. Register Associates and guests and collect applicable fees

2. Assist with member sales by capturing leads

a. Inform membership department of all inquiries concerning potential membership

b. Fill out prospect forms or enter prospects in Prospect module

3. Receive all incoming telephone calls and transfer them to the appropriate person

4. Schedule court reservations, spa appointments, private lessons, fitness evaluations and personal training sessions according to club procedures

5. Collect usage fees as required; complete POS transactions

6. Assist with Pro Shop sales and purchases if applicable

7. Promote all club programs and special events

8. Issue membership key tags and take member photos

9. Maintain the area in presentable condition

10. Present a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times

11. Abide by all club/company rules and procedures as in the Sportime Employee Manual

12. Complete any special projects as assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor

13. Open and/or close the Club as required

14. Follow lost and found procedures

15. Attend monthly departmental meetings

VALUABLE FINAL PRODUCT:

1. Members, Associates and guests cheerfully greeted and properly routed to their destination

2. Members, Associates and guests properly signed up for any services, programs and membership

3. Members, Associates, guests and prospects inquiries accurately transferred to appropriate person

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school Diploma or equivalent

· 3+ years’ experience delivering exceptional guest service required

· Demonstrated experience with any POS systems and Microsoft applications required

· Ability to explain lessons, programs, memberships and promotions to prospective and existing members

· Solid computer skills (Microsoft applications) a MUST

· Knowledge of arithmetic, using mathematics to solve problems

· Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing so that others will understand

· Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense

· Ability to work under pressure and multi-task

· Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.

WORK CONTEXT/ACTIVITIES:

· In addition to the responsibilities and qualifications set forth above, this position requires physical activity, including but not limited to:

· Lifting (up to 20 lbs), carrying, walking, stooping, bending, twisting and reaching using entire body

· Use of both fine and gross motor skills

· Sit and to stand for long periods of time

· Requires the employee to be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
