Busy Orthopedic Practice seeking friendly, compassionate, and organized individual to join our team! Duties to include:

• Greets patients and visitors to the practice
• Answer and triage all incoming calls referring to appropriate department when necessary
• Schedule patient appointments according to scheduling guidelines, ensuring we are in network with their insurance (if applicable) and/or referrals are or will be obtained
• Registers patients into EMR (Athena) which may mean entering information given verbally or on registration forms
• Collects identification and insurance cards and copies/scans them for the record. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating information when necessary.
• Ensures patient completes appropriate paperwork/consents prior to appointment and prints encounter form (superbill)
• Collect patient payments(copays/deductibles/balances/etc) providing TOS report and monies
• Manage and distribute incoming faxes
• Chart Check for next day appointments
• Protect Patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal, financial, and health information.

Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and have the ability to multitask.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
