avid hotel Boston Logan Airport is currently seeking an experienced Guest Service Agent!
Shifts - 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, 11pm-7am

Required Work Hours: Hours calculated in 8 hour shifts.
Scope of Responsibilities: To maintain the Front Office Department at Brand and Management Company highest quality standards.

SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TASKS:
Create and maintain reservations correctly and accurately.
- Properly answer phone calls in a timely and professional manner. This includes answering the phone within 3 rings and using the designated "welcome" dialogue.
- Run nightly reports and send out reports via email and operating system
- Conduct proper safety measures as given by Management Company and IHG regarding customer's personal information. This includes credit card information. Must be properly trained and have passed IHG certification.
- Properly sell guest rooms as trained by your immediate supervisor.
- Promote Management Company's highest standards by creating a service culture attitude. This includes maintaining a positive, energetic, sympathetic and empathetic attitude with each guest
- Routinely inspect and maintain your work area for cleanliness and clutter. This area includes the Front Desk, Lobby, Back Office, Business Center as well as Fax Area.
- Maintain accurate count of Cash Drawer. Count should be at $300.00. Overage should be applied to proper account and dropped in safe. Shortage must be notified to immediate supervisor.
- Attend a minimum of one training course yearly provided by IHG via web-based or classroom setting.
- Maintain proper documentation regarding the following: Cash Count Log and Lost, Found Maintenance Log, Meeting Room Contract Logo Front Desk Communication Log (aka) Quore
- Aggressively promote the Emergency Procedures regarding this property. Training is conducted initially by the General Manager and/or immediate supervisor. Further training will be conducted quarterly. The employee is responsible for reading the Emergency Procedures in its entirety.
- Ensure you report to work in proper uniform.
- Ensure proper clock-in procedures are followed. Monitor hours worked to prevent overtime.
- Ensure you are equipped with operational radio to properly communicate with other hotel departments at all times. This includes confirming your radio is being used properly during work hours and returned to charging station at the end of the scheduled work shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS) Minimum H.S. Diploma Brands require specified course completions to be done within 90 days of hire date.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Must be knowledgeable of basic computer programs including Word and Excel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Physical Activities and Requirements during Normal Work Position: Standing: Frequent Sitting: Occasional Lifting: Occasional Bending: Frequent Walking: Constant Minimum Weight Employee must be able to lift: 50 lbs Must have use of both Hands and Legs.
