Vesta is seeking to recruit a Front Desk/Admin Assistant position for its Regional Office located in Lanham, MD. This position is an integral part of the clinic as a representative of Vesta for clients and external agencies who contact Vesta. We are looking for a positive, good communicator, who can work well under stressful situations. Strong customer service skills are a must!
Position scope would include answering phones, scheduling clients, checking clients in and acting as a liaison between nurse practitioners and therapists. This position also assists clients with the completion of paperwork, applies/maintains for benefits for clients in need, data entry, filing, sourcing external agencies for resources, reviewing clinical documentation for compliance, auditing files, and entering billing.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service experience with an ability to assist internal as well as external customer in a fast paced, demanding, and diverse environment.
- Ability to prioritize job tasks, multi-task, manage time effectively, and be flexible with job tasks.
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the cultural characteristics of the clients to be served.
- Understanding or CPT codes and medical billing guidelines as applied to various services.
- Strong computer skills to include familiarity with Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and database programs.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Experienced with the mental health, social services, or healthcare field.
- Experience with or understanding of Medicaid/Medicare and private insurance.
- Two years’ experience in an administrative position with an Outpatient Mental Health Clinic or similar setting.
- Associate degree or certificate in the health and human service field.
The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.
