Description
The Front Counter Receiving Clerk at Ag Express Electronics is responsible for maintaining positive customer interactions by addressing order status and ensuring customer satisfaction. They excel in communication, managing inventory through Acumatica software, handling shipping and receiving tasks accurately, and maintaining detailed documentation of visitors and customer data. The role requires adaptability, effective decision-making, organizational skills, and an ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
This is a full-time position in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction

  • Maintain an open line of communication with customers and implement dealers regarding order status.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exemplary service and support, addressing their needs promptly.
  • Make a lasting, positive first impression by kindly and attentively greeting visitors at the Front Counter to create a welcoming atmosphere.

Communication
  • Receive and respond to inbound phone calls, emails, and other communications regarding Ag Express products and services.
  • Answer phones, direct calls, and relay any messages to the appropriate parties.

Inventory Management
  • Meticulously stock and label inventory, utilizing Acumatica software for basic inventory management.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to resolve issues that arise in shipping or inventory handling.
  • Efficiently transfer inventory between locations.

Shipping and Receiving
  • Ensure accurate shipping destination information and reconcile packing slips against purchase orders.
  • Accurately pack, process, and ship outbound parts and repairs.
  • Unpack inbound packages shipped from customers and suppliers.

Documentation
  • Record customer data from received packages including billing, return shipment, and repair request information.
  • Securely process credit card transactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Remain in a seated position 50% of the time; alternate between sitting and standing.
  • Move about the office to access parts, including high-level shelving, ascending/descending ladders.
  • The employee must occasionally transport/move boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
