Receiving:
- Unload incoming freight with a pallet jack, walk behind forklift or sit-down forklift using and identifying the best tool for that job.
- Receive material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other departments accurately and promptly, including serialized inventory.
- Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items and/or notify parts department manager or operations manager of damage prior to accepting freight.
- Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list and the purchase order.
- Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
- Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner. Updating Primary Bin locations in Epicor and marking the put-away location on the purchase order so it may be received to the proper location in Epicor.
- Print and attach barcode tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Unload freight outdoors from trucks with LP or electric forklift, safely.
Shipping:
- Assist parts department in sales order picking/pulling that will be shipped to customers or delivered to customers via other means.
- Assist Honda Engine and Power Equipment team with picking and packing orders, including serialized inventory.
- Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
- Work with other employees to assure all orders are double checked prior to shipping.
- Pack orders in proper size of shipping carton to both save customer on freight and AIE in box fees. Use of banding machine may be required.
- Maintain an organized packing station.
- Work with operations manager to assure inventory of boxes, tape, and supplies are at a satisfactory stock level.
- Utilize Epicor to ship packages with multiple carriers.
- Utilize third-party software to track shipping costs, freight charges to customers and tracking numbers. These may be, but not limited to World ship, DHL online and USPS.
- Preparation of all shipping documentation, creating BOL and arraigning truck freight and carrier pickups.
General Housekeeping:
- Possible use of electric and gas-powered forklift in a safe and professional manner to move, unload/load skidded products both inside and outside of the building.
- Safe use of an electric scissors lift to count, pull or relocate inventory in elevated shelving in warehouse rack sections.
- Report all accidents and company property damage at the time of the incident to someone on the AIE leadership team.
- Use downtime to organize and clean product and shelving in both Production and Service part areas.
- Use of company provided back supports to prevent injury.
- Assist production department in material movement and other undefined duties.
- Use of brooms and floor cleaning products to keep a clean floor presentation.
- Adhere to and support all company safety policies.
- Assist with identification and sorting of take-off parts.
Must have Skills
- Computer knowledge.
- Fort lift training certificate (certification training offered by AIE).
- Ability to transition between multiple tasks.
- Ability to lift approximately 50lbs.
- Ability to be on your feet all day.
