For Pay Transparency Compensation Description hourly

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $23-$25 hourly.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the total benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives.

This position is 100% on site.

Training will be provided for all aspects of the position, but experience/knowledge in the industry is a must for success in the role.

Seeking a strong candidate as Freight Forwarder for a fast paced Agriculture Import/Export/Logistics Business. This position is responsible for handling Ocean Freight Forwarding Services and to assist with Freight Management to archive the effective shipment of goods globally. This individual will facilitate day to day working with shipping lines including Booking department, Customer service department, Documentation department, Equipment control department, Sales department to ensure export bookings are reserved and executed smoothly. The Ocean Freight Forwarder also coordinates closely with our Documentation team, Dispatch team, Production team and Accounting Department to manage shipments and documentation in timely manner. The key success for this position is communication, detailed oriented and organizational skills to ensure all works are carried to the best level of customers’ satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities:

Ø Make bookings with Ocean Freight Shipping Lines

Ø Prepare and send bookings to our Production Team

Ø Change and update bookings according to our Production Team

Ø Assist our Dispatch team to resolve booking issues

Ø Coordinate with our Documentation Team to get work order for AES and SI

Ø File AES with US Customs and Border for Export Declaration in timely manner

Ø File Shipping Instructions with Shipping Lines in timely manner

Ø Coordinate day to day between Shipping Line Documentation and Al Dahra documentation to proof and release Bill of Lading, other documents in timely manner

Ø Coordinate day to day between Drayage Truckers and our Dispatch team to update booking, late gate…

Ø Coordinate between Shipping Line Billing Department and our Accounting department to make sure ocean freight is billed correctly and payment is arranged to release OBL in timely manner

Ø Coordinate between Shipping Lines and Production Team to resolve any disputed invoices

Ø Continue to improve forwarding process on cost, efficiency and relationship

Ø Provide and maintain best customer services to our BU and business partners

Ø Assist to review and analyze shipping lines Ocean Freight, Customer Service & Documentation Performance.

Ø Support other team members to archive target and cost savings.

Ø Assist with other projects and duties as assigned by upper Management as needed.

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge, skills and qualifications:

Ø 1+ years experience working in Logistics, Distribution, Manufacture. Export Forwarding Experience is preferred.

Ø Extremely detailed oriented skill.

Ø Abilities to manage multiple competing priorities with deadline

Ø Problem solving skills.

Ø Good verbal and written communication skills

Ø Superior demonstrated PC skills, Word, Excel and Business Email Correspondence, in particular

Ø Abilities to inspire and support team members to work effectively across functional areas
