Job Description
Creative Community Services (CCS) has been improving the quality of life for children, teens and adults with developmental disabilities and mental health needs, and their families, for over 30 years. CCS is seeking a dynamic new team member who shares this mission to join our team as a Recruitment & Retention Coordinator in our R&R department. The R&R team assists with recruiting, retention, training, and initial licensing of TFC foster/kinship families and Host Home Providers. The R&R Coordinator will work as part of a team to support the Intake and Therapeutic Foster Care Department to place children with special needs, specifically those with mental health challenges and/or developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate foster parent and host home provider orientation and info session
- Ensure all necessary forms and documents associated with initial licensing are completed and submitted by the therapeutic foster family in a timely manner in accordance with the agency and DFCS policies and procedures
- Register family for pre-licensing trainings (i.e., NTDC, TFTC, Safety Care, First Aid/CPR, Medication)
- Submit all initial screenings and background checks
- Consult with families to address areas of concern impacting licensure
- Assist in the implementation of foster parent recruitment and retention strategies
- Conduct audits and complete status updates
- Update internal and external data information system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to get along with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Must possess the ability to establish a trusting rapport with youth, families, and staff
- Problem solving ability and critical thinking
- Experience working with a high-need or at-risk child/adolescent population
- Possess the ability, flexibility, and maturity to render the duties and responsibilities required of this position
