Provide supervision to staff to ensure post-licensure home regulatory compliance.
Communicate and staff parent/home regulatory compliance issues with supervisor. Identify and communicate family training needs to supervisor.
Work with Recruitment and Training Supervisor on any changes/additions/modifications for Home Studies for new home and re-licensure within required timeframes
Provide oversight to agency policy and procedures, regulatory entities and best practice standards for childcare and intervention to supervised staff and Foster Parents
Provide supervision of placements with families accomplished by creating a supportive and customer service-focused environment.
Meet with staff as a part of the Intake Placement Team Meetings to ensure adherence to agency policy and procedures and standards for an appropriate matching process.
Take part in and oversee staff involvement in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure communication within the Placement Services Department about each family and child’s needs.
Coordinate communication between staff and Home Based Services regarding program crossover and children and family needs.
Advocate for appropriate community support and services for each child. Monitor and support appropriate communication with referral source, families and service providers.
Facilitate appropriate recommendations for services, interventions and permanency based on best practice focusing on the best interest of each child
Assist in coordination and approval of respite by ensuring timely communication with families and referral sources.
Supervise staff to ensure all documentation required for children in care is completed within the required timeframes. Supervise staff to ensure all documentation meets policy and procedures, regulatory entities and best practice standards for childcare and intervention.
Monitor dissemination and receipt of documentation with referral sources and service providers.
Work collaboratively with Performance and Quality Improvement Director on documentation oversight and monitoring process.
Complete and submit required outputs and outcome reports within required timeframes and communicate barriers and successes clearly during supervision.
Ensure the completion and maintenance of Family Service Coordinator documentation.
Experience
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in child welfare is preferred.
- Familiarity with child protective services and childcare regulations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of working with people with developmental disabilities or children in need of support.
- Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with clients, families, and professionals involved in the care process.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
