As a Formulation Chemist in the Global formulation development team a key focus of this position is the advancement of laboratory activities for the development and manufacturing of new formulations for seed coating applications. This position offers the opportunity to create an impact by developing novel and sustainable offers for our customers that are compliant with evolving regional and global regulatory requirements. This is an on-site position located in Research Triangle Park, NC. A relocation package will be provided, when applicable.
As a Formulation Chemist, You Create Chemistry By...
- Using your scientific background, working in a highly independent manner, demonstrating project leadership, performing global formulation development activities and leading laboratory work assignments with minimal supervision.
- Leveraging your problem-solving abilities, you will work with the team leader and other colleagues to optimize product performance.
- Collaborating and coordinating activities with certain global and regional key internal customers and stakeholders (esp., Global Biology, Global Technology, Global and Regional Operations and Manufacturing groups) to deliver on critical strategic business objectives.
- Providing and communicating results in an impactful manner to all relevant stakeholders in the form of presentations or reports.
If you...
- Have earned an education in a scientific discipline such as chemistry or chemical engineering AND practical industrial experience in an R&D Environment as stated:
- Ph.D. with 0 years of hands-on experience
- M.S. plus 4+ years of hands-on experience
- B.S. with 7+ years of hands-on experience
- Have chemical experience in the Ag industry OR formulation experience in any industry; Formulation experience in Ag industry is a plus.
- Show proven ability to lead, plan, coordinate and complete research projects on difficult problems with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrate safety focus, attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Have strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate capability in training and supervising new members of the team.
