The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
What You'll Do:
- Assists Legal Assurance Administrator in forensic program direction: acts for administrator to respond to programmatic issues & inquiries regarding forensic product line, including but not limited to RTC education, consult to clinical staff, probate court liaison, staff education. Manages admission referrals (e.g. adheres to admissions criteria established by Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH) policies/procedures, Joint Commission (JC) & Medicare/Medicaid standards, Ohio Revised Code (ORC), & other local, state & federal standards to accomplish admissions process, screens admissions, develops & evaluates a rotation system for placing admitted patients on units.
- Ensures all paperwork & medical records required for admissions are obtained & accessible to clinical staff. Arranges interstate & intrastate transfers (i.e. Veterans Administration, compact states etc.) Monitors & Coordinates guardianship process, and inputs data into PCS relative to guardianship.
- Provides coverage for Legal Assurance Administrator and Forensic Coordinator. Participates on committees when required for departmental Quality Assurance. Participates in QA development, monitoring, and data collection.

Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file; 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
-Or 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above
