The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of service by delivering dishes from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and with precision. Responsibilities:
* Timing and Coordination: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders to the correct tables. * Plate Presentation: Ensure that dishes are presented professionally and meet quality standards before delivering them to guests. * Communication: Maintain effective communication with kitchen and serving staff to coordinate the flow of food service. * Guest Interaction: Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner while delivering food, responding to inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction. * Assistance to Servers: Collaborate with servers to help with clearing tables, refilling water glasses, and other tasks to support overall restaurant operations. * Cleanliness: Keep the kitchen and food running areas clean and organized to uphold hygiene standards. * Problem Resolution: Address any issues with orders promptly and communicate with kitchen or serving staff as needed. * Menu Knowledge: Stay informed about menu items to answer guest questions and provide assistance when needed. * Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team to ensure a seamless and positive dining experience for guests.
Requirements:
*Previous experience as a Food Runner or similar role is beneficial. *Strong communication and teamwork skills. *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. *Detail-oriented with a focus on presentation and quality. *Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. *Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift trays. *Positive attitude and a willingness to assist in various tasks as needed. *Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
