Food Regulatory Compliance Representative

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of corporate support activities related to packaging and label generation, approval, and Regulatory Compliance. The subject matter expert for all matters related to nutritional labeling (NLEA), principles of nutrition and food science, export, Kosher, and other identity-preserved certifications.

This role interacts significantly with Sales and Marketing, Product Development, Quality, Procurement, Operations, Legal and across the Supply Chain to align priorities and plans to execute programs, ensuring the success of business strategic plans. This role requires cross functional influence to prioritize business initiatives within the current branded and co-packaged product lines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for maintaining all ingredient specifications and updating manuals for required departments.

· Enforce the Food Safety Manual policies.

· Responsible for administering regulatory policies and registers for raw materials, supplier approvals and finished product.

· Superior knowledge of the Genesis software application and to keep ingredients and formulas current.

· Responsible for documentation control for all formulas, scale sheets, and formula traceability sheets and the security of said documents.

· New item setups and owns the delivery of ILS and Nutritional copy for approval.

· Responsible for auditing Regulatory documents on an annual basis and to provide and adhere to an audit schedule.

· Responsible for maintaining finished good specification sheets, to publish as required electronically to internal sites and to make copies for required areas.

· Maintaining the online ingredient documentation.

· Knowledgeable of the FDA website, regulation changes by federal government, state, and local government.

· Expected to be a role model for the company culture.

· Understands and complies with all food safety policies, procedures, and programs as stated in the Company’s Food Safety Manual.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
