Hilton Garden Inn San Mateo, a premier hospitality destination, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team. Located in the vibrant city of San Mateo, our hotel is committed to providing exceptional service and memorable experiences for our guests.

Position Overview:

As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will play a crucial role in the overall management of the F&B Department's operations. This includes overseeing revenues, expenses, personnel, brand guest satisfaction scores, and brand quality assurance inspection scores. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in F&B management, with proficiency in Micros helpful, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Food and Beverage, culinary, or related professional area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day F&B operations, ensuring excellence in service and adherence to Hilton brand standards.
• Monitor and control budgets, maximizing revenues and minimizing expenses to achieve financial targets.
• Lead and inspire a dedicated F&B team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Uphold brand standards by consistently achieving high guest satisfaction scores and quality assurance inspections.
• Utilize Micros and other technology to enhance efficiency and guest experience.
• Execute common F&B financial controls, including calculating Food and liquor costs and implementing inventory controls while also handling most of the ordering.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Food and Beverage, culinary, or related professional area with at least 1 year as a supervisor or manager.
• Proficiency in Micros is a plus.
• Some level of financial acumen and ability to implement financial controls to achieve a profit in the department.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Flexibility to work nontraditional hours according to business needs to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
