Join us as a Fixed Income Trading Assistant
The Fixed Income Trading Assistant supports traders and portfolio managers in daily trade processing and settlements. This position will partner with Investment Management Operations, Risk & Governance, and Systems to support our investment process and overall client experience. This individual will gain direct experience in Fixed Income Trading across multiple sectors.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
Cash management reconciliation and trading
- Verify account cash balances and resolve any discrepancies
- Identify and trade appropriate and attractively valued money market investments within account guidelines
Investment Execution
- Identify and recommend investment opportunities
- Monitor market conditions in corporate, ABS, and CMBS sectors
- Identify attractive dealer offerings based on our valuation framework
- Recommend potential allocations across our managed accounts
Trade Resolution
- Investigate and resolve failed trades
- Communicate with dealers and IM Trade Management to identify the cause of failed trades
- Take corrective steps to ensure trades settle in a timely manner
System Implementation and testing
- Support the implementation and testing of new systems or enhancements, which impact the Fixed Income investment process
- Work with IM Systems to develop useful tools for portfolio management and reporting
Trading Platforms
- Take ownership of our trading platforms
- Provide support for system updates and renewal
- Research new and/or existing functionality currently not used
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- SQL and/or R programming a plus, but not required
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

Salary Range
$75,000-$85,000
BBH's compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
