The IBD (Trade) Section at the Consulate General of Canada is looking for an eligible candidate that can fill in as a Program Assistant on a temporary as needed basis as an emergency/full time temporary employee. The hourly rate is based on an LE-A2 level (USD $31.90/hr).

We’re looking for a candidate who:
- Have experience in providing administrative support services to a diverse team in a government or corporate office.
- Have a high degree of proficiency with computer applications, such as the full MS Office suite (including MS Teams) and other web-based applications.
- Have excellent communication skills (orally and in writing) in English, and would be an asset to be able to communicate in French.
- Is highly organized, including managing competing demands and coordinating busy schedule of events.
Key activities for the incumbent include:
- Provides administrative support services, such as providing operational and logistical support for travel and hospitality events.
- Drafts correspondence, reports, letters and routine financial documents.
- Processes payments, maintains records of expenditures, receipts, disbursements and fund balances, and provides related reports.
- Researches and compiles information, verifies submitted documents for completeness, enters data in computerized systems and maintains records, files, lists, and databases.
- Monitors and reports on communications related to the program on social media.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30-16:30, no possibility of remote work
Background Check: One must have a valid Reliability security clearance or be able to obtain/pass a security clearance
