Responsibilities:
- Install, program, and maintain Fire Alarm systems in commercial buildings.
- Conduct inspections of existing Fire Alarm systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with Fire Alarm systems, including wiring, sensors, and control panels.
- Collaborate with clients to determine their specific life safety needs and recommend appropriate Fire Alarm system solutions (as needed).
- Provide training to clients on how to operate and maintain their alarm systems effectively.
- Keep accurate records of all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
-Must be at least 18 years old
-Valid driver’s license and clean driving record a must
-Certified NICET Level 2 required
-3 years experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use power tools for installation purposes.
- Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs
-Be able to perform work climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lift equipment as needed
-Maintain a clean and safe work area
-Have a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly
- Familiarity with construction inspection processes and the NFPA 72 Codes and Standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of electrical systems.
- Ability to detect and resolve issues with Fire Alarm systems effectively.
