We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm System Project Manager. This position is responsible for the management of Fire Alarm and/or low voltage projects. The position will interface with multiple departments including the sales, design, and operations team to successfully drive projects through to completion. The Project Manager will thoroughly develop and define all stages of the projects and remediate any critical paths that may prevent successful and timely completion of projects. This position will report directly to the Fire Alarm department manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material requirements, specifications, and project management principles
- Meet with sales team as necessary prior to project sale to identify any potential project issues
- Develop job site specific Job Hazard Analysis Identification and documentation
- Accurately develop and define project schedules in project management software and define project requirements
- Update project status “cost-to-complete” for weekly WIP reporting
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients on assigned projects
- Monitor assigned projects following established guidelines to ensure they are completed as efficiently as possible
- Communicate with team members regarding project specific requirements
- Identify Change Orders and effectively communicate to respective parties
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a construction or fire safety role
- Able to operate independently with minimal direct supervision
- Must build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employee and management across departments
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Must prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment
- Must demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving record
- Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
Preferred Qualifications
- Fire Alarm Industry experience
- PMP Certification
- NICET Certification
Compensation: $88,000 - $98,000/year
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
