The Fire Alarm Systems Project Managermanages the coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous commercial Fire Alarm and Life Safety projects of various complexities and are critical to the overall project. The role has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.
As a Fire Alarm SystemsProject Manager, you will:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent and develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects and review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
  • Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide all necessary project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
  • Track resources and project progress and document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
  • Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities and coordinate and pursue project-specific billing, coordinate with accounting team and Operations Manager.
  • Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
  • Complete project-specific close-out documentation and effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures, report unsafe conditions and actions.

You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or Associate degree in Engineering
  • Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
    • 5-7+ years for Sr. Level
    • 3-5+ years for PM level
  • Project Management experience
    • 5-7+ years for Sr. level
    • 3-5+ years for PM level
  • 25% travel required at customer sites in/around the greater San Francisco Bay Area
  • Knowledgeable in local and national (NFPA) Fire Alarm codes and regulations
  • NICET Certification (Fire) within 24 months of hire
    • NICET II for Sr. PM Level
    • NICET I for PM Level
  • Knowledge and understanding of industry applications; ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Legallyauthorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basiswithout company sponsorship
  • Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree preferred, or equivalent experience

  • The pay range for this position is $82,000 - $140,600 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
