SciensBuilding Solutionsis seeking aFireAlarmInspectionTechnicianto provideinspection and maintenancecapabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team,field project teams,and clients to ensureour customers systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner.Thisis a key position for our growing teamandrequires attention to detail in all aspects ofexecuting projects. Customer andemployee interfacerequirea high degree of effective human relations. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are importantelementsof the position.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
- Responsible for reviewing system layouts, and coordinating with the systems and service departments for a successful project execution.
- Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
- Responsible forinspecting and maintainingfirealarmsystems.
- Produce detailed inspection and deficiency reports in accordance with NFPA.
- Responsible for delivering projects on schedule and within cost budgets.
- Responsible forlogging and transmitting inspection reportsvia laptop computers.
- Oversight for project inventoryand responsible for vehicle inventory.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the other inspectors.
- Customer-focused; skilled in project and people management.
- Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
- Proficient in issue resolution.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Knowledge offire industry.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
- Two to five yearsof experience in an inspector technician role within the fire detection and protection industry.
- Knowledge of current Fire Alarm and clean agent/special hazard fire suppression systems.
- NICET Level II.
- Proficient in NFPA 72 code requirements.
- Ability to read fire system design drawings.
