Fire Alarm Tester
The Fire Alarm Tester specializes in conducting comprehensive inspections and testing of Fire Alarm systems in residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The primary goal of this job is to verify system functionality and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Inspection: Perform detailed tests of all components of Fire Alarm systems, such as smoke detectors, pull stations, automatic closing assemblies, signaling devices, etc. to ensure they are in good working order.
- Performance Testing: Carry out scheduled testing procedures to assess the operational effectiveness of Fire Alarm systems, ensuring they respond appropriately in the event of a fire.
- Compliance Verification: Verify that Fire Alarm systems and their components meet all local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Documentation: Maintain precise and accurate records of all tests conducted, including any anomalies or deviations from expected performance standards. Prepare and submit compliance reports to relevant parties as required and in a timely manner.
- Communication: Provide clear and concise feedback to fellow team members regarding the status of Fire Alarm systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in fire systems testing or a related field is advantageous but not nessecary.
- Demonstrated experience in Fire Alarm system testing or a closely related field, focusing on inspection and compliance.
- Understanding of Fire Alarm system components and functionality.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing procedures.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Effective communication skills for reporting findings.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various testing sites.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
