To qualify for this position, you must meet the Education OR Specialized Experience for the series/grade to which you are applying.
To qualify for this position you must meet A, B, or C defined below.
GS-7
A. Education: Have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education, or a Bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement*.

B. Specialized Experience :
To qualify for the GS-07, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience:
1) Reviewing, entering, analyzing and reconciling financial information and/or accounting data for validity, completeness and accuracy on work assignments encompassed in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable functions.
2) Performing a full range of financial and accounting duties in accordance with legal and statutory requirements.
3) Responding to internal and external customers regarding financial operations and/or accounting-related issues and/or inquiries.

C. Combination of Education and Experience: A qualifying combination of post-high school education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (i.e., credits received beyond the second year) and specialized experience. A combination of specialized experience and education must total 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

GS-9
A. Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., related to the position.
B. Specialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-09, you must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is defined as demonstrated experience:
1) Reviewing, entering, analyzing and reconciling financial information and/or accounting data for validity, completeness and accuracy on work assignments encompassed in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable functions.
2) Performing a full range of financial and accounting duties in accordance with legal and statutory requirements.
3) Responding to internal and external customers regarding financial operations and/or accounting-related issues and/or inquiries.
4) Providing technical support and advice to the team leads and supervisors on abnormal accounts and/or transactions for corrective actions.
5) Generating and/or downloading financial system reports and/or files for reconciliation to support month-end, year-end closing, customer and management needs.
