Job Description:
The Financial Reporting Accountant is the sales reconciliation tool used to upload data and support needed for sales.
The role is to secure the operational sales and safe reconciliation for the Retail locations. It includes ensuring that the received funds, in different types of payments, and the expected payment, i.e. receipt, are sent, uploaded, authorized in case of differences, and correctly booked to a bookkeeping system.
By reporting to the Accounting & Reporting Transactional Team Lead, the SAREC+ Accountant is responsible for the following duties:
The Financial Reporting Accountant performs daily safety and sales reconciliation
Secure, collect, and upload data from manual sources
Prepare month-end and year-end close journal entries and adjustments as needed
Identify cashier, safe, gift card, credit card, and other variances
Communicate directly with store representatives to resolve discrepancies
Investigate and identify causes for variances
Make relevant adjustments based on dialogue with the payment team
Secure authorization and follow up by retail location in case of differences.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance
0 -3 years of accounting/auditing experience
Understanding the receive payment process/cash flow
Experience in handling receipts and sales is preferred
Potential management/ leadership skills
Essential For Particular Job:
Solid accounting/tax knowledge, working school or experience in finance/accounting/tax preferred
Good computer skills especially Microsoft Excel, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
Strong communication and coordinating skills
Professional problem-solving and knowledge-sharing skills
Good time management skills
Good analytical skills
Quick learner
Ability to concentrate and work accurately.
Other Details:
Hybrid position, this role may require workers to report to the Service Office at least 1 day per week, and per business needs. Therefore, this is not a fully remote position.
