Financial Planning Analyst

A global leading manufacturing company is looking to hire a Financial Planning Analyst to join its finance team. The Financial Planning Analyst role is an intensive position that allows the employee to see across many different departments and entities . You will work with people at all levels of the company and learn how to navigate the corporate environment to understand how to provide Finance, Sales and Engineering partners with the items they need to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

· Empower finance team, and cost center owners with analysis to support the achievement of financial goals and company objectives.

· Work with key Managers and cost center owners across different teams to analyze and forecast, expenses and sales

· Report a global view of the company financial situation.

· Empower the Finance with insights that inform and fulfill strategic objectives and goals.

· Compile, prepare and publish monthly and quarterly expense report and analysis with focus on goal achievement for each cost owner

· Prepare and analyze quarterly financial statements including Profit and Loss statement and Balance sheet.

· Prepare, analyze, and monitor department expense on monthly and quarterly basis and brief Director of Finance on key findings and recommendations.

· Create, prepare and publish Financial key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends requiring action.

· Understand and update processes to assure accurate sales and expense reporting

· Create Ad-hoc exploratory analysis.

· Consolidate domestic and international budget or forecast on a quarterly basis

· Partner with the sales teams (domestic and international) to review and update, on a quarterly basis, global sales forecast.

· Partner with the domestic teams to review and update annual and quarterly expense budgets or forecast of US entities.

· Partner with international entities to prepare, review and update annual and quarterly expense budgets.

· Create global sales and expense forecasting framework for international entities.

· Initiate, develop, and drive adoption of "best practices" that enable team members to work at a higher level of productivity.

· Collaborate with cross-functional team, including Data Insights, sales, Operations, Marketing, and Engineering.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, accounting or equivalent
• 5-7 years of experience in a Financial Planning, Business analysis or Financial Analyst role
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting, with good understanding of financial and accounting principles
• Strong MS office skills, especially Excel (2 years of everyday experience).
• Working knowledge of Information Systems (ERP, MRP, etc.). Experience with MAPICS and AS400 environment, Tableau Software or another BI tool, databases and Structured Query Language (SQL, Python, R), a strong plus.
• Ability to operate comfortably and effectively in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional, rapidly changing environment
