Who You Are:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is responsible for monitoring sales and interpretation of data related to Labor, Revenue, Operational Expenses, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and the Profit and Loss Statement. The FP&A Analyst will provide analysis and execute changes as needed to maximize profitability and productivity.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of FP&A.
What You’ll Do:
- Supports all budgeting, forecasting, and Financial Planning processes
- Supports the team with in-depth analysis related to costs, labor, operational expenses, and sales performance
- Assists the Senior Manager of FP&A with the preparation of annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts
- Collaborates with functional leaders to develop resourceful and creative approaches to improving efficiencies and profit margins
- Prepares monthly financial reporting to key business partners
- Provides month-end close results and prepares variance explanations vs forecast, budget & prior year
- Performs other ad hoc analyses as required or assigned
What We Need From You:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or mathematics
- 2 years of work experience, ideally in an accounting or finance role
- Must have a strong financial acumen and skill set
- Must have a data-driven mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Great problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong passion for hospitality
