Job Description: 
Partner with business unit to:
Integral part of the local management team to grow the business and provide financial direction. Also, acts as a “sparring-partner”.
Proactively advises and challenges business partners in plant operations, engineering and other functions.
Evaluates new business opportunities with detailed business case analysis and accurate product costing.
Lead the controlling functions:
Develops and presents financial statements, metrics and other analytics to enable great business decisions.
Plans, directs, and coordinates the plant operative planning process for production volume, contribution, fixed overhead, capital investment and headcount.
Leads and coordinates local and cross-center Lean/TOS initiatives to improve processes and reduce costs.
Performs investment analysis, general ledger accounting and fixed asset management. Calculates provision requirements and reconciles general ledger accounts to maintain integrity
of financial records. Prepares and examines financial records, ensuring records are accurate and that taxes are paid.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited university/college with 2 years of relevant related experience.
At least 1 year of group leader, project lead, or mentoring experience required.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
Team player and must have ability to lead across functional boundaries.
High analytical and problem solving ability.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and motivate peers.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, financial analysis and reporting of financial data.
Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and experience with ERP systems.
High degree of ethics and integrity.
20% Travel if candidate is located in Detroit, MI.
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Five years in controlling or accounting in a manufacturing environment or a combination of education and experience deemed to be equivalent.
MBA and/or CPA/CMA certification.
