Position Summary:
This role works to drive financial excellence by supporting our Vehicle Solutions Division, providing key insights and strategic financial guidance to optimize performance. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost analysis, and financial modeling. Additionally, this role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure financial goals align with overall business objectives.
Position will be located at our New Albany, OH Headquarters Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead/support the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for the assigned division.
- Conduct variance analysis to assess actual performance against budgeted and forecasted figures.
- Provide actionable insights to support decision-making processes and drive financial performance improvement.
- Cost Analysis and Management:
- Analyze manufacturing costs, identify cost drivers, and recommend cost optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand production processes and cost structures, ensuring accurate cost allocations.
- Implement cost control measures to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to divisional and corporate leadership.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance and identify trends.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Strategic Planning:
- Assist in the development and execution of the division's strategic financial plans.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, conduct financial due diligence, and provide recommendations for strategic initiatives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments such as Operations, Sales, and Supply Chain to understand business dynamics and incorporate relevant data into financial analyses.
- Collaborate with the global finance team to share best practices and ensure consistency in financial processes.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and actively contribute to the implementation of best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact financial strategies.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successfully supporting strategic financial initiatives.
- Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and variance analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
