Responsibilities
- Perform all body work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Perform welding, soldering, body alignment, and oxidizing operations
- Operate all equipment in Collision Center in a safe manner
- Light mechanical repairs
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area
- Document all work performed as soon as the job is completed
- Uses basic mathematical skills to solve simple equations for mixing chemicals
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes
Requirements
- I-Car Certification & Michigan Motor Vehicle Certificate
- Body Shop Tech experience preferred
- Some light mechanical knowledge a plus
- Current valid driver’s license
- Must pass physical and background check
