The Firmwide Management Information Systems (MIS) in Financial Analysis (FA) is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the Line of Business (LOB) segment results for Actuals, while providing reporting to both internal and external clients. Our stakeholders include P&A, Treasury, Controllers, SEC, Technology, and Reference Data.
As a Financial Analysis - MIS Associate in Financial Analysis team, you will be responsible for working with data, managing projects, solving problems, and driving results. You will assist with modernization, infrastructure upgrades, and process improvements. You will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data, while always thinking of ways to streamline and improve efficiency through automated applications and process improvement.
Job responsibilities:
- Support financial processes during month end close including adjustments, reconciliations, and ad-hoc analysis
- Research and analyze data quality issues and provide continuous suggestions for process improvements
- Lead efforts to drive efficiency through automation and streamlining processes
- Reporting on and monitoring key metrics, driving data quality initiatives, and helping define future needs
- Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
- Partner with various stakeholders (Finance, Controllers, Technology) on reporting changes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- BS/BA degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Advanced working experience with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and technical skills
- Ability to collaborate with and influence people at various levels
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau experience preferred
