This role targets an internship candidate who is excited to work in high paced environment, working directly as part of the Corporate FP&A team.
The candidate will support the financial planning and performance management activities of the firm to drive performance optimization including supporting the quarterly earnings press release cycle and associated quarterly and monthly internal reporting cycles. In additional to contributing to ongoing team projects, the role will also own and complete an individual project that will allow the application of finance and business theory to a real business challenge.
Focus Area Overview:
This specific trainee role will be focused on Finance - North America Crush Value Chain.
Our North America Crush Value Chain is one of the leaders in the production of vegetable oils and meals in the North America market. We provide vegetable oils and meals to food, feed, and fuel customers across North America, and distribute protein meals to end consumers in Latin America.
As the North America Crush Value Chain Financial Trainee, you will play an important role in this exciting business through strategic and financial analysis. This position is responsible for generating insights that helps the business identify potential improvement areas and making data driven decisions. This role will support existing business financial analysis and business cases of supporting growth in the value chain.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
• Undergraduate Candidate - Strong Academics record from an accredited university
• Graduate Candidate - MBA/MS or Finance MBA/MS required from an accredited university
• Numerically oriented undergraduate degree preferred
• Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently, maintain objectivity and deliver results
• Basic understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Ability to think creatively and identify / explore alternatives
• Strong communication skills: ability to articulate in a clear and concise manner
• Intellectually curious
• Collaborate and work in a dynamic team environment, including with employees outside the assigned home office
