As Financial & Operations Analyst at UAP, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization. You will be responsible for analyzing project financial data, maintaining performance archives, generating reports, and supporting the utilization of the company's CRM system. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will be essential in driving informed decision-making and optimizing project performance.
Financial Analysis (30%)
- Create charts, graphs, and dashboards to visualize financial data, making it easier to understand and interpret.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing historical data and making projections.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance.
- Identify and analyze financial trends to help management make informed decisions.
Data Infrastructure (30%)
- Shape & utilize the company's ERP system to track project milestones, resource allocation, and financial transactions.
- Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to optimize ERP usage and customize data fields to capture relevant information.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive archive of project performance data, including financial metrics and project timelines.
- Ensure data accuracy and accessibility for reference & analysis.
Data Organization & Reporting (40%)
- Monitor and analyze project gross profit, identifying trends and variances to forecasted targets. Provide regular reports to management highlighting key insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare quarterly performance report cards for departments and project types, assessing key metrics such as profitability, efficiency, and estimated versus actual resourcing.
- Reconcile financial data across various systems and sources, including project budgets, expenses, and revenue. Identify discrepancies and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Review project expenditures and invoices against designated cost codes and budget allocations. Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of expenses, flagging any discrepancies or potential cost overruns.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Analytics, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, operations management, or related role.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Experience working with ERP systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity.
