Field Technician

If so, you might be a great fit for our Field Technician position at Buck’s Communications. We are currently interviewing for several positions in Edenton and the surrounding area. The projected start date will begin in April.

Buck’s Communications has partnered with established Internet Service Providers to install and maintain Data Networks. We will train hardworking, team players who take the initiative to learn and want to excel in the industry. After training, you will then have the opportunity of advancement among our partners.

This individual must have great customer services skills and understand the professionalism of working with people. Your daily interactions will be customer facing. You will learn through hands-on training, to perform routine installations, repairs and change of service in business and residential for Internet, Telephone and Television over fiber optic, copper and coax connectivity. You will install and repair services for our customers and educate them on proper use of their equipment.

You will be working in a field-oriented role which requires you to work outdoors, use hand tools, and be in a variety of working conditions and locations. After you are trained, you will work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

• Technical skills: Problem solver with a technical aptitude, computer and software application use
• Skills: Communication with others, professionalism, time management, organization, critical thinking, responsible/reliable
• Abilities: Work with hand tools. Interpret analytics from soft tools such as meters and handheld devices. Troubleshooting. working in confined spaces and at heights.
• Valid Driver’s license with satisfactory driving recordrequired
• Flexibility in job duties and hours worked.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a drug screen.
