This position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC), Office of Deputy Assistant Director of Clinical Services, Office of Medical Case Management. The incumbent will report directly to the Regional Field Medical Coordinator.
This position is only open to current USPHS officers.
USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates are not eligible for this position.Qualifications: COMPETENCIES:

- Must have the ability to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance.
- Must have the ability to jog/fast walk up to mile.
- Must have the ability to perform CPR/emergency care standing or kneeling.
- Must have the ability to assist sick, injured or aging detainees or staff exiting the building(may require lifting, dragging, wheeling or carrying someone who weighs significantly more than oneself).
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time (6-8 Hours).
- Performing repeated bending motion.
- Average manual dexterity for computer operation.
- Phone use for extended periods of time
- Must be an Advanced Practice Provider or Registered Nurse who has worked in the clinical setting for at least 2 years. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to fulfill the obligation(s) of their licensing or certifying body to maintain currency. This position may be required to perform clinical activities with the scope of clinical license in times of critical needs within the agency.
- Currently has or is able to achieve and maintain certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Management, a Case Manager, or Utilization Review/Utilization Management Professional as directed by IHSC through formal training and other means.
- Ability to plan and organize own workload and travel schedule utilizing the IHSC travel policies.
- Flexibility and adaptability to sudden changes in schedules and work requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and time management skills.
- Computer literate on MS Office applications.
- Has knowledge of and is able to maintain proficiency in or is able to obtain knowledge and maintain proficiency in the ICE National Detention Standards (NDS)and Performance-Based NDS (PBNDS).
