Field Access Control/Camera Technician- San Antonio, TX area. Must be within 1 hour drive to San Antonio, TX!
Job Description:
Looking for a Field Access Control/Camera Technician to support our drilling, completion and production personnel. Specific jobs will entail replacing/installing hardware such as cameras, access control systems, solar sytems, pc’s, access points and other miscellaneous equipment. Many service calls will involve training employees on how to utilize proprietary software. Must utilize and possess sufficient skills and training to complete troubleshoot, service and installation orders in a timely manner.
 
Responsibilities:

• Install, service and repair Kastle access control, security components and IP Video Systems.
• Verify completed work is documented accurately and consult with manager to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain companyowned vehicles, tools, equipment and individual tool issue.
• Maintain and protect building keys to customer buildings.

 
Qualifications
 
Required Accreditation:

• Very experienced in the alarm, access control, IP Video and Networking.
• Work history must display stability and consistent attendance.
• Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Networking, Computers, Alarm systems, Access Controls and CCTV.
• Aptitude in basic programming
• Thorough knowledge installation techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of electronic testing equipment, hand and power tools.
• Proficient with MS Windows 7, MS Word & MS Excel.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use metering devices.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.
• Ability to write and maintain accurate and concise daily records.
• Ability to interface and communicate with office staff, management and coworkers in a clear and professional manner.
• Self-motivated and excellent attention to detail.
• Must be available to work overtime, weeknights, and/or weekends as needed.
• Competence to Safely work from heights (Man Lifts and tower Structures)
• Needs to be very flexible with work hours. He/She will be on an on-call Schedule
• Personal Skills: organized, attentive to detail, personable, ethical, polite professional demeanor, self-starter and a team pleayer

Preferred Experience in:

• Computer service experience supporting and providing diagnostics
• Automatic Gate experience
• CCTV, AXIS, CISCO camera experience
• Knowledge of PC equipment and related peripherals
• Knowledge of P2P network
• Knowledge in Tropos and Cisco equipment
• Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN protocols, cabling, installation and servicing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Access Control
• KASTLE Systems
• Camera Installation
• Knowledge, understanding and ability to apply Ohm's law
• In depth knowledge of low voltage 12 to 48 volt DC power systems
  • Including batteries, charge controllers, Inverters, solar panels, battery isolators
