This job is for Multifamily Access Control, which is a child company of Gatewise Smart Access.
Based in Houston, Our Main Office is in Upper Kirby in Houston. However, we service the entire US.

We are searching for an Access Control Technician to install and Service our equipment and do light Access Control related repairs. Our equipment is a cellular based opening device and may include add ons such as remote receivers, door fob readers, etc.
The Ideal Candidate will be licensed in the State of Texas for Access Control, have strong experience in the field, and be willing to travel to anywhere in the US as needed. (The bulk of our business is in Texas, but some out of state travel will happen) Experience working with Apartment Communities is a HUGE advantage. The candidate must also be passionate about customer service!
Some Duties are below (but this is not a complete list)
- Install and maintain Gatewise Access Control systems
- Troubleshoot Access Control hardware failures and complete repairs.
- Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on Access Control systems.
- Oversee contractor support as necessary for the repair and maintenance of the system.
- Coordinate with the Dev Team to ensure full system functionality.
- Respond expeditiously to emergency situations and breakdowns.
- Transfer maintenance request data from source documents to computer via a computer terminal, as required.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, plus climbing and balancing. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting and intense noises. In addition, incumbents may be subjected to gases and workspace restrictions. Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. Occasional outside work. Frequent physical effort required.Requirements
High School diploma or equivalency certificate required. Associate degree from an accredited technical school preferred.
Three (3) years of experience in the installation and maintenance of Access Control.
Exceptional accuracy, organization and communication skills are required. Must be able to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
Licenses and Certifications
Valid Texas Driver's License and Access Control License Strongly Preferred
- This position will use a company vehicle and the candidate must be able to be added to the Company Insurance for the vehicle. A motor vehicle background check will be permformed.
