We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our fast-paced and growing law firm. This is a remote, full-time position.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Drafting/Filing/Serving pleadings, declarations, and other court documents—usually via e-filing.
- Communicating with clients regarding all aspects of their case, and responding to their requests and concerns with guidance from the associate when necessary.
- Coordinating and noting (docketing/scheduling) court motions, hearings, etc..
- Drafting temporary and final court orders and circulating them for review and signatures.
- Promulgating discovery requests (including subpoenas) and drafting responses to discovery requests served on us.
- Drafting legal correspondence.
- Helping our associate attorney prepare cases for conferences, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate.
- Professional appearance, manners, and attitude.
- Ideally, three to five years of being a Family Law Paralegal. However, we are less concerned with how many years of experience you have than we are with how many experiences you have gained and mastered during those years. Further, while skills and experience are required, appreciated, and valued, personality, character, intelligence, and integrity will be paramount considerations.
- Proficient in Google Doc, Sheet, Calendar, Chat, and Gmail.
- Familiar, if not proficient, with MyPleadings.
- Experience with Macs is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to remote in, and coordinate with other remote staff.
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 8am- 5pm PST
Salary: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
