As a Facility Services Estimator and Project Manager, you’ll embody this approach while estimating and managing Facility Services Projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meet with facility owners to review potential projects and determine the best approach, repair, or solution.
- Schedule and communicate with facility service manager and scheduling coordinator about upcoming repair jobs.
- Provide excellent communication for technicians so that projects and project expectations are well understood.
- Accurately estimate the amount of time, material, and equipment needed to complete projects.
- Buyout and procure materials for upcoming projects and follow up to ensure that deliveries occur in a timely manner.
- Schedule repair times with owners.
- Ensure repairs or small jobs are completed on time.
- Communicate with manager and/or scheduling to fill in where more team members may be needed.
- Develop itemized scope summaries and cost estimates and present to facility owners in a clear and understandable fashion.
- Read blueprints, sketches, or plans to be fabricated.
- Ability to sketch plans, details, or drawings when necessary to communicate tasks.
- Complete any other tasks assigned by Facility Services Team Leader.
- Ability to inspect buildings and note deficiencies.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of and ability to follow OSHA and Hutton safety protocols.
- Able to productively work in a team environment.
- Able to clearly communicate directions.
- Able to do repetitive detailed work as needed.
- Able to work on school campus jobsites within proximity of children.
- Able to travel using own and company vehicles.
- Must be able to read and interpret plans, specs, and shop drawings.
- Proficient in the Microsoft office suite.
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience of working in the construction or maintenance industry.
- 3-5 years of management experience.
- Training opportunities will be available on the job to further advance your skills.
