Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose:

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for general maintenance and repairs for buildings systems and company vehicles.  The position is part-time and reports to the Director of Manufacturing.  

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspects and identifies building areas in need of repair
• Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
• Performs routine maintenance and general repairs that do not require a specialized technician
• Schedules and oversees external service repairs as needed
• Weekly inspections of company vehicles for cleanliness and repairs
• Cleaning and general vehicle maintenance
• Scheduling routine service for company vehicles
• General upkeep of building lawn, landscape and parking lot including snow removal
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors
• Knowledge of general building maintenance and repair
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Ability to operator riding lawn mower and skid loader
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Abilities/Work Environment:

Includes but is not limited to the following:

• Stooping, standing, lifting, gripping & finger mobility
• Occasionally exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force
• Regular use of power drills and/or operate machine, and ability to inspect small parts,
• Potential exposure to noise and hazards such as moving mechanical parts and electrical current
