Pay: $20/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift (On-Call on Saturday)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help install, maintain, and repair equipment including but not limited to: industrial machinery, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
SUPERVISION: Reports directly to Maintenance Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment; electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing, or mechanical systems to maintain optimum equipment calibration, safe operation and reliability.
- Install/maintain light fixtures as needed
- Repair shelving/product racks
- Minor equipment repair/conveyor system repair
- Furniture assembly (occasional), painting walls
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and service covering a wide variety of equipment to maintain optimum equipment operation and reliability using proper hand and power tools.
- General repair (drywall, sinks, etc.)
- Snow removal
- Travel to purchase/acquire parts needed for facility repairs
- Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs on a wide variety of equipment, machines, and facilities as needed using proper hand and power tools.
- Install and set up equipment for production as required.
- Support Building Facilities Engineering as required.
- Responsible for meeting all criteria and policies as set forth in the Company Employee Handbook, Driver’s Handbook, Fleet Safety Policy, and OSHA standards;
- Assists in special projects as requested.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent is preferred;
- 1-2 years Facility Maintenance experience is preferred;
- Conveyor repair and maintenance experience required;
- Scissor lift and forklift experience preferred;
- Must possess and maintain a valid and current driver’s license;
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug screen;
- Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report must be obtained by applicant and submitted for approval prior to hire date.
REQUIREMENTS OF WORK:
- Able to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, blue prints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Knowledge and ability to work with 110 volt electricity;
- Ability to perform work productively with a high quality of workmanship while able to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety;
- Be dependable, trustworthy, display a professional attitude, and complete work within given deadlines;
- Ability to use resourcefulness and tact in meeting new problems;
- Ability to perform assigned work in a systematic and organized manner;
- Detail oriented;
- Must be able to take initiative and be self-sufficient while working independently with minimal supervision;
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, orally, diagram, and/or schedule form;
- Proficient with basic computer skills;
- Using English, communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing;
- Ability to work as a team member in a professional manner;
- Customer service oriented.
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that would allow you to work an assortment of days, evenings and/or weekends (as needed) designed to provide quality service, while successfully growing the business with profitability and integrity.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Normal conditions associated with general indoor environment and well as working outdoors in extreme conditions IE: hot, cold, rain, wind, and/or snow;
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted or greater than 50 lbs with assistance;
- Frequently required to stand and walk for long periods of time;
- Occasionally reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, push, pull, crouch, squat, bend, twist, and stoop;
- Also required to climb, balance, crawl, talk, speak, and hear;
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus;
- May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration. Noise level may be moderate to heavy;
- Must have considerable mobility;
- Keep vehicle clean and check fluids regularly;
- Follow all company rules including safe drivingpolicies and procedures and report any and all accidents / injuries immediately to management.
