Digital Consultants is seeking a Java EE Web Application Developer to design, code, and test a custom intranet application used by government clients in the Washington DC area. The proposed candidate will interact with the engineering team and government clients to define requirements, assemble prototypes, design screens, generate code, conduct rigorous testing, and perform deployments to production systems.
Job assignments include a range of office and on-site work to define and implement government-approved upgrades. In addition to software design and implementation, the candidate must participate in and develop materials for group presentations, software demonstrations, and organized training classes.
Requirements

• Clearance: TS/SCI eligible
• Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer or Information Science related fields
• Minimum of four years of relevant professional work experience
• Experience in the following technology areas:

1. Web application development: Java/Jakarta Enterprise Edition 8 (minimum 2 years) 2. Software development tools: Apache Maven 3, Eclipse IDE, Git 3. Structured Query Language (SQL): Working knowledge of relational database concept

• Experience preferred with frameworks and tools to support application development: Jakarta Faces, PrimeFaces 8+, Hibernate, JPA, CDI (Weld), JUnit, Selenium, Apache Tomcat or Apache TomEE, JavaScript / HTML / CSS
• Familiarity with Windows domain configuration (Windows 10 and Server 2019+ preferred) and Windows 10 and Server 2019+ preferred) and its impact on client/server communications
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills
• Desire to work with others to plan, conduct, and report work efforts
