The Army and Navy Club on Farragut Square, Washington DC, are seeking a qualified candidate of Facilities Maintenance Manager.
The Army and Navy Club has 32 hotel rooms, an upscale fine dining restaurant and a less formal food and beverage outlet. Additionally, the Club has a 1218 square foot main ball room and five meeting rooms. In total our property is 88,000 square feet.
We are looking for a reliable, energetic Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of the Army and Navy Club’s facilities. You will be the one to ensure that your colleagues have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to budget. Candidate must have 5 years in a leadership role working in a similar work environment. Hospitality industry is preferred.
A great Maintenance Manager will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. They will be well-versed in all maintenance process and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude to undertake administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.
The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.
To be successful and make and impact in this role, you will not only be a technical guru, but as well as someone who is a strategic thinker, creative problem solver and a people person! *8 plus years of previous experience in a similar role and 5+ years of supervisory – leadership abilities.

An attractive compensation of $65-75k DOE.
Develop systems for the maintenance department to follow and implement. Ex. Preventative maintenance contracts for all equipment on the property
Inspects all hotel rooms, food and beverage outlets *monthly for safety to employees and members
Inspect and repair various energy systems such as heating, cooling, plumbing, lighting and kitchen equipment, to keep the Club operational AND find cost savings
Creation of a safety committee and spearheads monthly meetings for safety for members and employees
Dispatch maintenance staff to correct member problems promptly
Develop and nurture relationships with maintenance vendors and contractors
