SAIC is looking for a Maintenance and Readiness Manager to support a large government program based out of Sterling, VA. All responsibilities and work activity will be within the scope of a hardware/manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include:
· Develop and implement programs/processes to establish and maintain quality standards of products and services.
· Develop programs for employees to focus on quality improvement.
· Develop policies, procedures, and methods to check product, material, components and/or operational quality and recommend improvements.
· Establish and support processes to maintain a safe and compliant workspace and practices.
· Support the following areas: engineering, information technologies, business process improvement, etc.
· Directly supervises individual contributors (skilled technicians, administrative support) and/or entry-level professionals (accountants, entry-level engineers)
· Mentors and encourages growth of individual contributors and/or entry-level professionals.
· Provides direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance.
· Administers and executes policies, processes, and procedures that affect subordinate employees and the workflow of the work unit.
· Reports quality metrics using established KPIs.
· Interacts primarily with subordinates and other supervisors internally; External interactions are typically with suppliers, vendors and/or customers.
· Additional duties and responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
· Bachelor’s and five (5) years or more experience in Quality Management in a Hardware/Manufacturing environment; Master’s and three (3) years or more experience, or PhD and 0 years related experience.
· Experience in Quality Management in a Hardware/Manufacturing environment is highly critical to success.
BI Requirement
· Current holder of a DHS Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one. US Citizenship is required.
· Note: Employment will be contingent upon having/obtaining a DHS Public Trust clearance prior to starting.
