Purpose/Summary

GENERAL SUMMARY
This position reports to the Facilities Director and assists with the coordination and management associated with the operations of the Facility Services Department for the Community College of Denver (CCD).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating and tracking the department budget.
- Monitor the balances of open purchase orders and promptly report any potential shortages to the Director.
- Process Purchase Requests for routine services and special projects.
- Process invoices for payment and follow up with vendors regarding any missing or delayed purchases or services.
- Take responsibility for ordering new furniture and disposing of surplus furniture.
- Maintain an inventory of surplus furniture and coordinate with AHEC or outside vendors for furniture movement and disposal.
- Collaborate with CCD departments to address their furniture needs.
- Serve as the college's Asset Manager and coordinate the sale of college assets.
- Manage employee or department move requirements.
- Oversee and report on fleet management.
- Assist with the status of construction projects, attending construction meetings as needed.
- Process purchase requests necessary for related projects and collaborate with AHEC facilities on assigned projects.
- Actively participate in internal project management meetings to ensure college staff and stakeholders are informed about the status of all projects.
- Assist in preparing state-required construction documents and maintain all necessary records.
- Manage work-study and hourly employees for the department, including hiring employees and approving timesheets.
- Ensure that all classrooms are prepared for classes each week and provide assistance as needed to coordinate small projects.
- Create and maintain all facilities information and forms on the website.
- Be accountable for drafting policies and procedures for the Facilities Department.
- Update and maintain current floor plans and space reports for CCD.
- Assist as needed with access control to the buildings and key control.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education:(Minimum/Required)
Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: (Minimum/Required)
Two years of professional experience in budget development, implementation and tracking. One year of this experience must have included managing projects through completion including scheduling and coordination of vendors and work units.

Retirement
CCD and most employment categories contribute to , which provides retirement and other benefits to employees of more than 500 government agencies and public entities in the state of Colorado. PERA is the 21st largest public pension plan in the United States. PERA is a substitute for Social Security; CCD employees do not contribute to Social Security. PERA eligible employees are required to contribute a fixed percentage of their salary to the pension. Student employees are not eligible to participate in PERA.
