Job description

Thompson Coburn, a large full-service law firm with offices in seven (7) cities across the U.S., is in search of a full-time non-exempt Facilities Coordinator to join its New York office. Thompson Coburn is looking for a motivated Facilities Coordinator to be a part of our team. The Facilities Coordinator is key in maintaining the daily operations and facilities support services in the New York office, which includes managing requests for 70 attorneys and support staff. This role may also have responsibilities overseeing meeting room management, event coordination, and space planning. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills in communicating with employees at all levels of the Firm. This position requires daily in-office support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day facility operations.
  • Conducts daily check of facilities, such as carpet, paint, lights, etc., and schedules preventative maintenance work.
  • Coordinates internal office moves, which would include coordinating office furniture and workstation setups and inventory.
  • Acts as liaison with building management to coordinate and schedule work orders for HVAC, lighting, basic maintenance, plumbing, lighting and housekeeping, and ensures the completion of all work orders.
  • Coordinates and handles the logistics for the arrival of new attorney records from other law firms.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required, Associates Degree preferred.
  • At least three years’ experience in facilities or operations support role required, preferably in law firm or other professional services environment.

Compensation:
For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in New York City, the expected salary range is $75,000-$90,000 annually upon commencement of employment. Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications. This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
