Summary: The Facilitator and Talent Specialist (FTS) is a highly driven and organized individual who supports the full-cycle process of new team members. The role includes but is not limited to research, development, and implementation of effective recruitment techniques, performance practices, and training programs. The FTS will help attract a diverse pool of candidates and improve team member effectiveness/performance by applying individual and group training techniques and programs consistent with the credit union's organizational priorities and strategic direction.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

· Provide support by leading the implementation and evaluation of training sessions, education, internal Train-the-Trainer Program, and other business-relevant content.

· Apply adult learning theory (ADDIE model) knowledge to identify appropriate training media and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, audience location, and points within the learning process. Learning content is created for traditional classrooms, online classrooms, self-paced online modules, or a blend of approaches.

· Conduct new team member orientation sessions and on-the-job training, including development, health, and safety practices, new hire data entry, and credit union policies and practices.

· In collaboration with and under the supervision of the Learning and Development Manager, evaluate, coordinate, and assist with related training material outlines, learning modules, training procedures, and training classes; determine instructional methods, utilizing individual training, group instructions, demonstrations, webinars, and workshops; selects or develops training aids such as PowerPoint presentations, handbooks, visual aids, and tutorials.

· Work with the management team to ensure regulatory and other required training programs are up-to-date and completed as required or assigned. Provide regular updates to the team’s leadership on the status of outstanding courses.

· Conduct needs/task assessments to determine knowledge objectives. Create, deploy, and monitor the completion of appropriate knowledge transfer/learning solutions using various delivery methods.

· Assist with annual credit union events, including all-staff meetings, staff development day, and other events as assigned or required.

· Facilitate and implement all phases of the recruitment process, including participating in job fairs and other recruiting sessions.

· Partner with department managers to identify and draft accurate and detailed job descriptions and hiring criteria to create job postings. Maintain up-to-date job descriptions, job postings, and job announcements (internally and externally).

· Responsible for the team member referral program.

· Recommend potential community partners, schools, or job boards for talent acquisition needs.

· In partnership with the HR Business Partner and/or Chief Human Resources Officer, and as needed, screen and select potential candidates for interviews and prepare interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.

· Assist with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.

· Responsible for all process and HRIS system onboarding transactions, communication between new hires and hiring managers, and data entering.

· Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating; collaborate with other departments in all training and new hire-related needs.

· Complete required reports and documents; attend meetings as needed; perform other duties as assigned. Provide back support to the team.

· Perform all duties and maintain all sensitive data with the highest standard of confidentiality and professionalism. Consistently display respect for all areas of diversity, levels of knowledge, and leadership.

· Display mutual respect, trust, and dignity, always acting in the credit union's best interest. Display solid ethics and integrity.

Requirements:


· Minimum of five (5) years to eight years of similar or related experience in adult learning and all aspects of instructional design for various formats, including instructor-led, eLearning, and multiple types of performance support

· (1) Bachelor's degree in Learning and Development, Instructional Design, or related field, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., Human Resources certifications instead of a degree)

· Certification in Instructional Design preferred.

· Knowledge of the credit union industry and previous financial industry experience preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities:

· Possess high energy and passion for talent acquisition and development of others and a team player.

· Proven knowledge of Instructional Design theory, iterative development processes, and evaluation methods

· Understand adult learning facilitation skills, process improvement know-how, and ability to project ideas.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to build/set schedules, adhere to projects, and manage multiple priorities.

· Proficiency with multimedia design and authoring tools like Adobe Captivate, Articulate360, Camtasia, Powtoon, Vyond, or similar programs.

· Ability to effectively use credit union's applications, core operational, and member servicing applications.

· Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

· with hiring tools, such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Job Target, Indeed, CareerBuilder, etc.

· Comfortable meeting and speaking with new people frequently and able to determine a candidate's potential through clever questions.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including reading, writing, and speaking fluent English.

· Ability to prioritize, adapt to change, and efficiently handle a variety of tasks at one time in a busy and dynamic work environment; ability to maintain a good working relationship and provide excellent customer service to all employees, members, and the general public and to use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority.

· Aptitude to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or problem approaches.

· Ability to work with diverse personalities and populations; bring others together and help others reconcile differences.

· A valid California Class C Driver's License, a method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions, and at least minimum automobile insurance coverage as required by the State of California.
