About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Training Specialist to join our expanding team in Cypress, California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with a passion for teaching and mentoring others. This role involves extensive travel (75-85%) to provide training to customers and internal technicians on the West Coast, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and informative training sessions on the maintenance, repair, and operation of our mechanical and electrical equipment to customers and internal technicians.
  • Develop and continually improve training materials, including presentations, manuals, and hands-on exercises.
  • Travel to customer sites and internal offices to conduct training sessions, typically Monday through Friday.
  • Collaborate with other trainers and subject matter experts to ensure consistency and quality of training content.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to technicians and customers to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Assist in the development of online training materials, including videos and learning management system (LMS) content.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure training remains relevant and effective.


Required Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and educate a diverse audience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (75-85%) and work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a technical trainer, field service technician, or similar role.
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry, including cheese, bakery, meat, or pet food.
  • Background in industrial settings, such as manufacturing or production.
  • Familiarity with video editing and audio/video equipment.
  • Military experience with a focus on training and leadership.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as mechanical or electrical engineering.
