Role Description:This is a position in our removal immigration team. We are seeking to hire for an Associate and a Senior Attorney position. These are full-time on-site positions, with certain exceptions for remote woek.
The Immigration Attorney will be responsible for handling day-to-day immigration legal matters including advising clients on immigration issues, preparing and filing various immigration petitions, and representing clients in immigration hearings and interviews. The Immigration Attorney will also be responsible for managing a caseload and communicating with clients and government agencies.
Qualifications:
- Active membership and good standing with State Bar of California or other state Bar
- Expertise in Immigration Law, Immigration Issues, and Legal Issues
- Experience in preparing and filing various types of visas and immigration petitions
- Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to interact with clients, government officials and colleagues effectively
- Juris Doctorate or LL.M. degree from an accredited law school
- Experience in Removal/Deportation proceedings is a plus
- Proficiency in Punjabi and Spanish is a plus
