Full Circle is a studio that was formed in 2021 and we're working on the next evolution of skate. As part of Full Circle, this role will lead the Experience Design (XD) craft for the studio and will report into the Head of Creative. As the XD Director, you will collaborate closely with UX research, game design, product management, art direction, stakeholders, and other cross functional partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• You will be lead the XD craft that includes managing XD leadership and overseeing the growth of the XD team that includes UX, UI/Visual and UI technical designers through hiring, mentorship and skill development
• You will the lead the team in framing and solving hard problems rooted in player data (quantitative and qualitative)
• You will drive innovative efforts that surface the value for new experiences for a broad player base
• You will partner with studio leadership to set design priorities and find balanced solutions for our players in a co-development model 
• You define what XD is at Full Circle and integrate design processes and methodologies to support co-development 
• Your will provide leadership to the XD team in a fast paced environment, through collaboration and open communication 

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Interaction Design, Psychology, HCI or demonstrated proficiency and experiences in the field of user experience.
• +5 years leading and managing design teams
• Advanced level of leadership experience directing user Experience Designers, interaction designers, interface designers, and/or product designers
• Fluency in best practices for product design that includes interaction, visual and motion design, as well as strong knowledge of user-centered design processes.
• Ability to lead a team to effectively translate player data into design solutions and quickly iterate on them
• Efficient and effective at presenting and rationalizing design strategy and decisions to diverse audiences including executives, using these opportunities to educate and evangelize.
• Ability to work and advocate across multiple cross-functional product teams, moving effortlessly between smallest details and highest level strategy.
• Passion for games

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
$162,300 - $252,600 USD Annually
New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
$162,300 - $252,600 USD Annually
Jersey City, NJ :
$179,850 - $252,600 USD Annually
Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
$162,300 - $213,300 USD Annually
Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
$162,300 - $230,150 USD Annually
British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
$134,250 - $202,100 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
