Previous sushi experience is highly preferred, but not necessary. Willingness to learn is!
Qualifications:
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English (speak, read, write) with co-workers and management
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness, and work with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Knife skills.
- Ability to accurately follow established recipe and technique guidelines.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly while providing service to many guests at any given time.
- Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with co-workers.
- Maki Rolling and Hand Rolling experience preferred.
Experience:
- At least 1-2 years of Executive Sous chef experience preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of kitchen experience preferred.
